Touchdown grab in victory
September 4, 2022
Shenker caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown against Mercer on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Shenker was one of the better tight ends in the conference last season, reeling in 33 balls for 413 yards, though this was his first touchdown since 2019. A suspect passing game could limit his upside, though he will remain a viable target in the red zone. A clash with lowly San Jose State next weekend should be a tasty matchup.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Shenker finished third amongst all SEC tight ends in receptions last season with 33 while placing fifth in the conference in receiving yards at 413. Unfortunately, Shenker failed to find the end zone, though clearly emerged as a safety valve in the Auburn offense. There remains uncertainty at the quarterback position for the Tigers, with TJ Finley, Zach Calzada and Robby Ashford all vying for the coveted spot under center. While this may ultimately cap Shenker’s upside, whomever lines up under center will likely look to Shenker early and often for easier completions. Shenker averaged 12.5 yards per catch in 2021 and only Shedrick Jackson had more receptions and yardage among returning pass catchers.
