2023 Defense Projections
Moving on from Morgantown
Martin entered the transfer portal Wednesday and is expected to leave West Virginia, Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The third-year safety was a key contributor out of the Mountaineers secondary as a true freshman in 2019 with 50 tackles and five pass breakups, but after opting out of the 2020 campaign, he's struggled to recapture a meaningful role on defense in 2021. Since he appeared in five games before entering the portal, Martin won't be eligible for a redshirt for 2021. He'll take two active years of eligibility with him to his next school and would also have a redshirt season at his disposal.
