ANALYSIS
During 2023, Sims was Nebraska's third-string quarterback, behind Heinrich Haarberg and Chubba Pardy. When Sims was able to step on the field for games, he did not fare well, as his 1:6 TD:INT ratio indicates. Wanting to erase the bad stigma of his 2023, Sims will look at enrolling elsewhere.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Jeff Sims, a former four-star recruit, started all of the Jackets’ 10 games as a freshman and is poised to take a step forward in 2021. There were flashes of brilliance last season, and flashes of learning opportunities, as Sims completed 54.9 percent of his throws while tossing an equal 13 touchdowns and interceptions. The real appeal from Sims came from his dual threat ability, rushing 120 times for 492 yards and six scores, though it’s fair to question whether the Jackets want Sims to run more or less this season. They hit the transfer portal hard for offensive linemen, and have a very capable stable of running backs led by Jahmyr Gibbs and Jordan Mason, which could keep Sims in the pocket more, running only as necessary. Sims topped 250 yards only once last season, and while growth as a passer is expected, the Jackets are only in Year 2 of a non-option offense. There’s limited firepower out wide, and Sims may be a year away from a full breakout as a result.
