2023 Fantasy Outlook
Caston had 31 catches for 446 yards and five touchdowns in 2022, and that’s with him missing three games and being limited in three more. If he can stay healthy in 2023, there is reason for optimism, and it goes beyond those numbers. The quarterback position was a mess for Southern Miss in 2022, but it should be slightly better in 2023. Zach Wilcke got the bulk of the action, but he was a true freshman. With a season under his belt, Wilcke will hopefully be prepared for his sophomore campaign. Additionally, Jason Brownlee has moved on. He had 55 catches for 891 yards and five touchdowns last year even with the chaos under center. Caston won’t simply add those targets to his own, but he looks to be the clear top receiver for a passing game that might be a bit better, so he could emerge for fantasy players for the first time.
