2023 Fantasy Outlook
Allen didn't get much action in 2022 as he sat behind two-time 1,000-yard rusher Sean Tucker. When he did see the field Allen was extremely productive rushing for 6.7 yards a carry. With Tucker now moved on to the NFL Allen looks to fill the big shoes left behind. With few other options at running back, Allen seems to be a shoo-in to start in 2023 it will be interesting to see what he can do as the lead back for the Orange. Read Past Outlooks
No running room in bowl game
Allen posted 20 rushes for two yards and reeled in both of his targets for 13 yards during Thursday's 45-0 loss to South Florida.
ANALYSIS
Allen found no space to roam in the bowl game, as USF loaded the box against the run and forced the Orange to try to beat them via the pass. Despite the lackluster bowl showing, the sophomore racked up 244 carries for 1,063 yards and nine touchdowns in 2023, adding 38 grabs for 210 yards and a touchdown on 50 targets as a receiver out of the backfield. Things should pick back up next season when Kyle McCord presumably takes over the starting gig under center.
