Despite sharing the court with Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones, Vandersloot averaged at least 10 points, eight assists, three rebounds and a steal for the fifth time over her past six seasons. She has one year remaining on her current deal and will return to a star-laden team, though Jones may be on the move this offseason. Vandersloot is entering her age-35 season, but with Marine Johannes unlikely to play in the WNBA in 2024, the veteran should remain in a 30-plus minute role again. After three straight top-10 fantasy finishes, Vandersloot finished 22nd and 21st over the last two seasons, respectively, so she should be a safe pick at the end of the second or early third round in drafts. ANALYSIS
Vandersloot joined New York last offseason after spending the entirety of her career in Chicago, taking over as a valued floor general while leading the Liberty offense like we've seen from her throughout her lengthy career. Vandersloot led all WNBA players in assists over the 2023 season, once again averaging double figures in scoring to go along with her distribution capabilities. Vandersloot remains under contract with New York through the 2024 campaign, but it will be interesting to see if she ends up retiring this offseason or makes one final run at a WNBA title with the Liberty next summer.

After spending her entire career in Chicago, Vandersloot is moving to New York for her age-34 season. She's joining one of the WNBA's two superteams, with the other being Las Vegas. With her age and surrounding talent in mind, it's fair to expect Vandersloot to take a step back while playing alongside Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones. Still, Vandersloot's upside as a passer and defender make her an enticing fantasy option. Last season, in 26.5 minutes per game, she averaged 11.8 points on 48/37/77 shooting, 6.5 dimes, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 combined steals-plus-blocks.
"Vandersloot" and "leading the league in assists" have become synonymous in recent seasons, with the veteran guard having topped the charts in that category every year since 2017. While Vandersloot couldn't match the 10.0 assists per game she averaged in the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign, she paced the league by more than 2.0 assists per contest last season. Vandersloot isn't a one-trick pony, as she added 10.5 points and 3.4 rebounds while ranking third in the WNBA in steals per game (1.7). Back with the Sky on a one-year deal to defend the title, Vandersloot should be among the more productive fantasy guards once again in 2022.
