Another chance with Detroit
Moseley (knee) signed a new one-year contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Moseley signed a one-year deal with the Lions last offseason while he was recovering from a torn ACL suffered in 2022. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old cornerback suffered the same injury on his second defensive snap of the season when he made his debut with Detroit in Week 5. He will now get another opportunity with the club as it bolsters its secondary for 2024.

In battle for starting job
Moseley will compete for a starting cornerback spot in the Lions secondary with Jerry Jacobs, Tim Twentyman of the team's website reports.
ANALYSIS
Cameron Sutton is locked into one outside starting spot while C.J. Gardner-Johnson is the primary option for the slot assignment, but Detroit's second boundary corner job is up for grabs. Moseley signed a one-year deal with the Lions in the offseason after his 2022 campaign with the 49ers ended early due to an ACL tear, and, while he was a non-participant in OTAs and minicamp, he's expected to be cleared for training camp.

Signed to a one-year, $6 million deal to prove his worth in Detroit, Moseley remains in recovery from a torn ACL entering training camp. While he could carve out a sizable role down the road, Moseley is not certain to be ready for Week 1 and could have a hard time stealing snaps from Cameron Sutton, C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Jerry Jacobs when healthy.
