Thunder Top Mavs In OT
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the host Dallas Mavericks, 120-114, at American Airlines Center on Wednesday evening.

The contest got out to a high-scoring start as the Thunder led, 30-28, after one quarter. The score stayed closed in the second and was tied at 51, at halftime. The Thunder came out stronger in the third and outscored the hosts by nine points in the quarter, however, the Mavs returned the favor in the fourth, as they rallied back and took a two-point lead with 9.6 seconds left on the clock. The Thunder were not finished though, as Kenrich Williams scored the tying bucket to force overtime. Williams also scored the first bucket in the extra frame and the Thunder stayed a step ahead the rest of the way, for their second straight win. This marks the second straight loss for the Mavs.

Luguentz Dort led the Thunder with 30 points, six rebounds, three assists and a block, in 40 minutes. Tre Mann followed up with 29 points, three assists, a steal and a block, while Josh Giddey logged 14 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. The Thunder shot 48 percent from the field, including 17-of-37 from deep.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 40 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, in 43 minutes. Reggie Bullock followed up with 23 points, eight rebounds and three steals, while Jalen Brunson tallied 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. The Mavs shot 47 percent from the field, including 14-of-43 from long range.

The Mavericks (29-23) will look to bounce back as they play host to the 76ers on Friday. The Thunder (16-34) take on the Trail Blazers in Portland on Friday.
